My grandfather is a 4th generation of Delbridge's in Murfreesboro,TN. coming from VA. The Delbridge's came to TN ca. 1840 and started to leave to Chicago,Illinois ca. 1900. I am researching all these Delbridge's but am very interested in what happened to the descendents of the Chicago Delbridge's. They owned a store there called "Puss n' Boots" and for awhile were very successful. My grandaunt Nelle Delbridge sang at the Chicago Opera House. Grandpa Charles Delbridge had an offer to buy some property at the outskirts of down town Chicago and refused. He felt the downtown area of Chicago wouldn't grow very far. If he only knew. Any other info offered will be very welcomed.
