Papa Tonio arrived in Ft. Worth, Texas in 1894 as a young man at the age of twenty. Our grandmother Mama Pancha arrived in 1902. They had 6 surviving children most of which were born in Bridgeport, Texas in a mining camp where our grandfather worked as a miner.
Our first reunion was in the summer of 1982. It came about by third generation cousins. that had met and began communicating information about their families. They found out in speaking to their mothers, that they were related to each other and thus began our first reunion in Ft. Worth, Texas. Approximately 125 attended.
Our second reunion was in the summer of 1983 with a few more added to our family over the first year of coming together with most of the family.
In 2009 we number around 451 with the latest being born just a month ago in April, but others on the way.
This year we will be meeting some of the younger 4th & 5th generation members of our family we do not know. We are truly blessed to have such a close family as we were raised by our parents.
