We are eight brothers and one sister. The Rivera paternal comes from Jaral de Progreso, Guanajuato, Mexico. The Ortiz maternal name comes from Oquitoa, Sonora, Mexico.
The Ortiz family:
Santiago, Dolores, Beatrice, & Abran Ortiz were brothers and sisters who lived in or near Oquitoa, Mexico. Abran Ortiz was our maternal grandfather. He was born in Florence, Arizona.
I believe that most were from Florence.

Dolores Ortiz: Mi Lolita taught Catechism (Never married)
Beatrice: (never married)
Abran Ortiz & Ignacia Garcia (maternal grand parents) raised 9 kids on a ranch near Oquitoa, Sonora.

Lived most of his life in Sonora, but died in Tucson, while staying with daughter.

Lived most of her adult life in El Mirage.
Then moved in with her sister Hilda and brother Jamie in Phoenix Arizona.
 Gonzalo (never married)
died in mining town, El Boludo (Sonora)
 Ruben married Josefa Hinojos
(~ 5 kids; all girls?)
He passed away in Texas
 Hilda married Arturo Moreno
(had four children)
lived in Phoenix
Her brother, Jamie, lived in same house with them
 Twins: Ema (died as baby) & Maria
Maria is my mother. (aka Marucu)
Maria married Salvador Ramirez Rivera
Resides in El Mirage, Arizona
had 9 children, (I am the youngest)
 Jamie (never married). Resides in Phoenix
My mother, Maria (i.e., Marucu), grew up in Ranch near Oquitoa. I believe that she received part of her education in Altar, Mexico.
