I spent several years researching the "old fashioned way". Going to libraries, ordering census microfilms on interlibrary loan and waiting, writing letters and waiting for replies, ordering books and waiting and so on. Each addition to the family tree was
a wonderful thrill. Every new old picture was a wonderful find.
Many people helped me on the way and I hope to pass this on and

• Nancy White and Solomon Norris (39 KB)
  Nancy and Solomon were married in February,1866. The original of this picture could have been taken in 1866. Married only 13 and a half years. Nancy died in 1879.
• Thomas Jones Norris Family Group (69 KB)
  Telitha and Thomas married young. She was 15 and he was 21. Ten years later in 1898 they had this picture taken at a San Antonio studio.
