The Roberts-Grant Family of Offerman, Georgia originated from Liberty County, Georgia near Riceboro. Sam Roberts Married Rhetta Grant who was also from LIberty County, Georgia. At some point in their lives they moved to Offerman, Georgia where they purchased land and raised three children Fannie, Wilbert and agnes.

Information collected so far reveals that Sam Roberts worked for the railroad and was very involved in the Baptist Church. Records show that he served as a deacon in Kingsville Baptist Church located in Offerman, Georgia. Rhetta spent most of her time raising the children and was instrumental in the purchase of fourteen acres of land during a time when most blacks inthe area could not afford it. Records show that Rhetta's name was on the purchase deed as the owner. Rhetta also served in the local Baptist church to include the association. They died in Offerman, Georgia where they are buried.

The Roberts-Grant Family continues to multiply from this orgin.
