(William)Henry was the father of William James Roberson. He and his wife had one son and 4 daughters. This is the farthest back we have been able to trace so far and has become our "brick wall". Any contributions, insights or information is welcome.

Information from Probate Records on file at El Dorado Court House: - Henry died on or about July 27, 1858 without a will. - Name is spelled Roberson/Robinson/Robertson throughout the file. - EAM Robinson signs all documents with "her mark". - Heirs are listed as EAM Robinson, William J., Sarah E., Perlina A., Alice V., Henry E. Robinson. - P.V. Wesson was appointed as Administrator of the Estate and acted as such until 1867 when he died.
Langford, attorney, files petition with the court Feb 21, 1872 stating that there are no further debts or property remaining to Estate other than the land itself. It requests that EAM Robinson be released from paying rent by paying taxes on the land so she may maintain & educate minor children heirs of the estate.
Henry's land records show that he got his last 320 acres in Union County following his death in 1858... purchase was dated 7/1/1859.

Draft was written 3/22/1894 by J.F. Goode for EAM Roberson, age 67 of Cornie township in Union County.
Summary: Description of Henry Roberson at time of enlistment: 18 years, 6 feet in height, fair complexion, dark eyes & hair, by occupation, farmer. Cannot state company, comander or comrades of soldier. Military land warrant is numbered 52757. Enclosed page from family Bible in husband's hand. Noted name spelling from Robertson to Roberson.
The 1880 census shows A.E. Robinson and Henri Ellen, at 21, still with her in Garner township. They are listed as being next to the family of C.F. Goode and Alice V. Henri Ellen later married another Goode brother.

1920 census shows William J and Sarah Keturah living next to son, Robert Howard Roberson. William now lists his father as being from Tenn and mother from Alabama.
