This page contains information on the families of my wife (Linnea [Krenzin] Robinson) and me (Barry Robinson). Linnea's family comes from Germany, Sweden, and elsewhere by way of Kansas, Iowa, South Dakota, and Illinois, among other places. With the exception of one branch in Georgia and Texas, every one of my ancestors, for some 200 years, lived in Western North Carolina. I dearly love learning about our families, not out of any desire to preserve or prove some proud, noble, or respectable heritage, but out of a sincere desire to know who we come from, as best as possible. Each of our families has a wide array of characters, including "black sheep." Many of these men and women left little record of their life, and are largely forgotten. I want to preserve their memory, good or bad, as best as possible.
