Currently researching the early 19th and late 18th century ancestry of the Watkins and Roberts families who lived in Louisiana during the mid to late 19th century and 20th century. These ancestors moved to the Louisiana/mississippi region from Georgia, North & South Carolina and Virginia.
I have considerable data on the following families, all connected in at least one instance, in one family tree: Roberts, Watkins, Graves,Joffrion,Stagg,Nezat, Bordelon, Devellier, Boudreau, Moncla, Roy, Nick, Nix, and several others.
In particular, I am looking for connections to Joseph M. Roberts: in Virginia from about 1815 to 1834; from 1834 to 1848 in North Carolina; 1848 to 1850 in Georgia; and 1850 to 1860 in Louisiana. He apparently married his wife, Susan Kirby, in North Carolina where she was born about 1815. Their children were born in North Carolina and Georgia, and they moved to Louisiana apparently in the late 1840s or early 1850s.
