I have been researching the maternal and paternal sides of
my family for many years. Much of my information was obtained
the old way or better known as snail mail. My research has
focused in the Clay Co., KY and surrounding counties for my
maternal lines. (DAVIDSON and related families for my mother's
side of the family). My research has focused in Wilkes Co.,
Surry Co., and Alleghaney Co. of NC for my father's side of the
family. (BROOKS, GALYEN, and related families.) It is hard
to list all places my research has led me on both sides of the
family and it is even harder to list all the families that have
been entered into my data bases as a result of my research.
I would like to share this information with my family and
with others who are doing research on these families. Maybe,
others can help me too, since there are always new things to learn and new people to learn about. My data may have mistakes
and I welcome corrections.
