Our family can be dated back to the late 1700's when Dorsan Stewart born 1793, married Pris Anderson.

We understand that Census Records show Dolerson Stewart in Northampton N.C and we believe this may be Dorsan since illiteracy among slaves may have caused him to change the spelling of his name.

Our Family Reunion is held the third weekend of August every year.
