James Franklin Robinson was born in Tennessee abt 1833. He married L. Elizabeth Harris in Tishomingo County, MS on Dec 28, 1852. They had two children: Tobey (b: June 5, 1857) and Mary (b: 1855). In the late 1850's they moved to Franklin County, AR. Shortly after arriving in AR L. Elizabeth died.
James Franklin's brother-in-law, William Walker Harris and his wife Frances (Fannie)Williams lived near by. William Walker was killed by Bush-wackers.
James Franklin and his sister-in-law Frances (Fannie) then married Dec 12, 1866. They had three children: William Jasper (b: March 9, 1868); Matilda Jane (b: Oct 27, 1871) and Susie Bell (b: July 25, 1874).
My Grandfather being William Jasper said they spelled their name "ROBERSON" but all the records I have found on James Franklin shows his name to be spelled "Robinson".
