The need to trace my family arose while I was recuperating from a serious operation. The importance of knowing one's genealogy has been a passion of mine and I have my own family taking an interest also. The small amount of knowledge I have been able to collect, is that my grandfather Joseph Robertshaw was born in 1891 in Bradford Yorkshire. His father was Joseph Bart*s, also born in Bradford around abt 1860. As all of my fathers relatives are deceased (my father died when I was only 14), there is no one left to ask questions. I have collected most of my information (which is not much) on the internet. I am hoping that by using Family Treemaker I may be able to add further ancestors to my tree, or at best, eliminate others that are not of the same line. My paternal grandmother was Jane Todd, born in Thornliebank, Renfrewshire Scotland, she married Joseph Robertshaw in Australia 0n 23rd April 1915.They had seven children: 1. Joseph Bartimeaus 10th May 1916 (my father)(dec) 2/3. John McBride & twin brother James. (both dec) 4. Ernest Harry (died at the age of 15)(dec) 5. Frederick Thomas (dec) 6. Elizabeth Jean (dec) believe stillborn 7. Francis Alan (dec) believe stillborn The tragedy of all of this is, our family may almost have come to an end. Hopefully not, but we will see what comes up during this time of research. Looking forward to hearing from anyone which share the same interest. Regards Frances Ann (Robertshaw)Rees
