Amos was the first of this line in America. He came to Baltimore, MD and was a storekeeper. He had at least one son, Ephraim, who had sons Samuel and Richard. Ephraim may never have left MD.
My branch of this tree comes from Samuel. The name gets spelled Roberson, Robertson, or Robinson, hereafter:
Samuel was born Sep. 07, 1760 in Baltimore Co., MD; He was in the Revolutionary War from Burke Co., NC; died May 1836 in Hardin Co., TN. Married Elizabeth C. Litton, a Scottish lady.
Samuel's children:
Elizabeth Robertson, b. abt. 1790 in MD; died abt. 1837 Wayne Co. TN
Eli Roberson, b. Mar 31, 1791; d. Oct 21, 1857, Marshall Co, MS
William Roberson, b. 1793
Tabithe Roberson, b. Nov. 29, 1794, Baltimore Co., MD; died Sep 25, 1866, Giles Co., TN.
Michael Robertson, b. 1796, Baltimore, MD.
Winfrey Roberson, b. 1797; married Margaret Kirk, Apr. 16, 1818, Grainger Co., TN.
Samuel Roberson, b. 1800
John Wesley Robertson, b. abt. 1803
Mary Robertson, b. July 07, 1806; married Nicholas Yeager
