Hello my name is Jamie Roberson I am in search of my Father James william Roberson family. The information he left me is my Grandfather name was James ( Jim ) lee Roberson ( Robertson )his wife name was America Anna (Garland) Roberson. Grandpa Jim father was Allen Roberson his wife was Dilcey it was said she lived to be a 114 yrs old.There were other children. Grandpa Jim Brother's were Sam Henry , Robert and Joseph Roberson. One sister Amalia Roberson ( Waller ) Newman. My Father pass away in November 1993 Grandpa Jim was born September 23 1880 and pass away December 30 1952 in Col Oh .Up to this point I am at a stand still. I with my Son Christopher are the last to carry the Roberson name , everyone has pass on.Some say the name was Robertson but all I have every seen is Roberson.I had a picture of my Grandpa and his brother's and Great Grandmother Dilcey but they were lost in a fire. All I and my Son are looking for is our roots. So we can pass it on.Daddy said Grandpa Jim and his family were from a place called Strakey Va.I wish I had ask more question but like so many African American Roots was just a movie. Until you look around and there is no one left to talk too.Then you begin to understand the gift that MR Alex Haley gave us.To search for who we really are. Any information will be a help
