Elijah F. Mason is my gggrandfather and the father of Marcus Monroe and Marcus was the father of Joseph F. Joseph was the
father of Marquis W Mason which was my father.
Marcus, Joseph and their family's moved From Arkansas to Montrose, Colorado. Marcus,his 2nd wife, Mary Belle Thacer Mason, Joseph his 2nd wife Iva Roman Mason and all their children all came together with Children, all moved together.
Most of the ancestors are buried in Montrose. My father Marquis and his family moved to Denver, Co., upon retirment
Marquis and wife Martha Bernece Barwick Mason moved to Ft. Morgan, Co. where he is buried and my mother is 87 years old.
I have lost 1 brother who is buried in Ft. Logan cemetary.
The other 5 of us except My brother and sister live close around
Denver area.
