The Robertsons of Missouri's history begins about 1839. My Great Grandfather's name is Thomas Baird Robertson.
He was born in Dumfermline, Scotland, February 4, 1811, married, and had a son, Alexander, by his first wife, of whom we have no record. He and his son came to the United States, St. Louis, Missouri, in 1839.
We find little information about him from 1839 to about 1855.
In 1855 he moved to Vienna, Missouri from St. Louis to own and operate a grist mill.
Thereafter we have history of his marriage in 1860 to Josephine Marie Rouche, daughter of Catherine and Jean Baptiste Rouche. They had four children, Catherine, Thomas, Jr., John Joseph, and George Francis.
Thomas Baird Robertson died January 23, 1896 and is buried in St. Louis.
