Alexander MORTON b April 11, 1802 Ayshire, Scotland. He married
(1) unknown DOUGLAS had one child Isabella; (2)Mary GRIER b 1811-1812, Sligaer, Cork Co., Ireland. They fled to France, to New York, to Canada, then to Michigan. They lived in La Chute, Quebec, Canada, there four children were born. Alexander b September 30, 1839, James A. b November 9, 1841, John W. b June 28, 1845, and Mary Jane b December 23, 1850.

They all came to Orleans, Ionia, Michigan, were they lived on the farm.
