I am in search of any info that will help to locate decendants of Herman Bowman DOB 1-11-1896 Death 6-6-1966. I know of one daughter Audrey Bowman Born 4-22-1925 died 9-19-1980. I also know that when Herman Bowman's parents passed away he took in two of his sisters Leona and Margie Bowman and raised them as his own children. I have no other information about his family. I know that he was Stockbridge Indian, but rumor has been that he was actually German and was adopted by an Indian. And Indian law is once you have been legally adopted you become a member of the tribe. I have not yet been able to confirm it. But I have reason to believe that Herman's parents were named John Bowman and Percy Moore Bowman.
