Carl (Karl) Rol(l)er, from Russia to ND to OR

Updated June 23, 2001

About Our Family Research

Ellis Island records show that a "Carl" (family records use "K") and Anna (Pavlous) arrived in NY with children Maria, Agnes, Josef, Rosalia, Franz and Anna, aboard the ship Pretoria out of Hamburg on Nov. 14, 1898, and that their former place of residence was Tshegorod (Tchehegorod?), Russia. I have no information RE the time between NY and Dickinson, ND. Know that Josef Carl (Joseph Karl--family) and his family moved from ND to Willamette Valley OR in the late-mid 1930's. Know also that over time one "l" was dropped from this branch of the family name, but other branches kept the double "l". Am looking mostly for antecedants of Carl and Anna, but also interested in sibs of Josef and whatever became of them. Please contact me at Rockinroler@juno.com with any information you would be willing to share.

I do have info on individual family members from Joseph Karl to present and would be willing to share that also.

Thanks.
