The early research in this Rolfe Family History was compiled by Robert Cordingly. His history went back to David D. Beverly born in 1749. In 1999, the research was done by the decendent of David Beverly, Betty Wilbur Rolfe. Robert Cordingly searched all his data by personally traveling to each county, state and town to find his data. Today with the help of computerized data Betty Rolfe can just sit at her computer and seach for members of our family tree. When I was a child, in the late 1930.s I can remember going to a Potter reunion every year which was held in Lake Erie State Park on the shore of Lake Erie. With the onset of World War II, the reunions were suspended, due to the lack of fuel. In 1985 it was restarted by Robert Cordingly as the Beverly/Potter/Beamish Reunion in Fredonia, NeW York, the Potter name had disappeared. Our last reunion was held in 1995
