ROLLA Lineage from Albiano d'Ivrea (TO) Italy

Updated November 9, 2000

About Our Family Research

The genealogical research on the Rolla family branch originating in Albiano d'Ivrea, Italy (in the province of Torino) has been an ongoing project spanning eight years. During that time frame, many families have been contacted; many more have been discovered. There is still alot of work to do. Our particular Rolla lineage has been traced back prior to 1573. There have been several ancestors who emigrated both to the United States and South America in the latter part of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th. We are their descendants. In the United States, the main focal points of settlement have been Chicago, Illinois and Omaha, Nebraska. From there, families have fanned out across the entire continent, stretching as far south as Florida, as far east as New York, and as far west as California. We are still attempting to contact relatives in and around Sao Paolo, Brazil, Manaus, Amazonas (also Brazil) and Venezuela. We are in the process of creating the Rolla Messenger, a yearly update on our genealogical research. If interested, please contact Greg Rolla at gmrolla@worldnet.att.net.
