My name is Judy (Langham) Rollf and I have been researching my family history for about 25 yrs, doing the leg work, this is my first attempt at computer research. The names I'm researching stem from my parents Harold W Langham & Bernice L Miller. From them I also have the surnames(paternal)SOMMER;JUMP;LAVOY;BARR; MOORE;HERLING;DUSSEAU;REAGER;ROBIDEAU.(maternal)MILLER(MUELLER); RUSSELL;SPRINGER(SPRENGER);LONG;PRATT;JOHNSON;KUHN;HAYES;HOCHKISS My family, for the most part, has stayed close to Northwest OH and Southeast, MI. Origins from the early 1800's (paternal);John & Rachael (Barr) Langham,my g-g-gr-parents from PA..family sources say from Pottstown,PA, but I havent documented it yet.My g-g-gr-father Adam J Sommer came to the USA in 1850's from Badeu, Germany..settled in Cleveland, OH; married Caroline H Herling (F:Jacob Herling)in 1858 then migrated to Petersburg, MI. The LaVoy side is said to be French-Canadian. My g-g-grandfather Francis F.LaVoy was a Justice of the Peace in Erie, Monroe County, MI in the 1800's. My (maternal) line both Miller(Mueller) and Springer(Sprenger) all came from Kalterhausen,County Diaz Nassau, Germany and migrated to the USA in the mid 1850's and settled in Northwest OH. Both my maternal g-g grandfathers Daniel Long (Grelton, OH) and George W Russell (Toledo, OH)were veterans of the Civil War and served from OH. Although I have 3 children...none are interested in family history, but I have 9 grandchildren and those g-g-grt's for me are 2 more gr's for them and I'm hopeful that one day I'll be able to pass this history down to yet another generation. If you have any information or leads on these families..or if anything here helps you in your research..e-mail me at liberty801@aol.com. Thank you Judy
