In the 1860 census Dallas County, Arkansas, he is listed as age 28, WIFE NO.1 Mary age 18, and children Sarah 4 and Margarette 2. 1870 census - John age 38, WIFE NO.2 Sarah 29, with children Nancy 15, Sarah 14, Margaret 11, John 11, Margaret E. 8, Pamelia 7, and James Lewis Wood age 3.
..Amanda Canada (Kennedy)was WIFE NO. 3. Anyone know where the Jr. came from in his name???
