My paternal lineage is of the Ross/Lair families of southeast Kansas, specifically, Cherokee county.

My maternal lineage is of the McClure/Nichols families of southeast Kansas, specifically, Crawford county.

I was born to John Albert Ross and Rebecca Lynn (McClure) in Columbus, KS on January 31, 1972. I have one brother, Brandon John Ross of Fredonia, KS and one sister, Amanda Lynn (Ross) Arck, of Pittsburg, KS. My half-sister, Lori Lynette Hixon resides in Fort Scott, KS.
