I am trying to trace my ancestry. I started with the Paddocks, which was my Mother's maiden name, from Brighton, Michigan. My Mother's date of birth is April 10, 1912, she died on February 11, 1985. She remarried and her married name was Gertrude Myers. I did get a lot of information on her side of the family. Now having a time trying to retrieve information on the Malcomson side, my Father's name is Frederick Sothern Malcomson, born February 10, 1912, he died January 17, 1987 in St. Petersburg, FL, where he wintered. I believe he was born in Farmington, Michigan. I do not have his Mother's maiden name, she went by the name of "Scotty". They lived in Michigan and in Canada, and my father was a citizen of Canada. He married Margaret Wakefield of Detroit and she had a daughter named Sally. I have an Aunt Ida Malcomson who came through Ellis Island on the 15 Dec. 1913, she came from , Bermuda. She traveled with my other a Aunt A. Bell Malcomson. To my knowledge my grandfather came from Scotland. My Dad was buried in Victoria Memorial Cementary, in Belle River, Ontario. He lived on Lake St. Clair.
I have four daughters, Sherree Sundberg-Jones who lives in Westland, Michigan; Natala Hardiman who lives on Gull Lake in Richland, Michigan; Kimberly Potter from Minot, North Dakota; and Andrea Michelle Campbell from Brownstown, Michigan. We have twelve grandchildren.
