I began this labor of love approx. 2 yrs. ago.(2002) I have learned a lot, but still have much more to learn. It can be very difficult to find some information and it takes a lot of patience. I have learned that much of my info. must be obtained from libraries or the Mormon church. I have found out that there is a family history office in Oshawa on Thornton Rd. I plan to visit them someday.
I have met 2 relatives through my search.First my 3rd cousin Paul Mahoney's wife, Marian.- Paul was the son of Jeremiah (young Jerm) Second, Another 3rd cousin, Janet Milburn, who is the daughter of Gerald Mahoney, my Dad's first cousin.
Marian's daughter, Julie also had some Mahoney family history which she shared with me. Janet and I are in the midst of sharing our info. Today is Oct.12,2004.
