I am researching the Matthew Ross family who settled in Oregon in the latter 1800's. He married a Catherine Banks in Illinois before moving to Kansas and then on to Oregon. Catherine had three children at the time of their marriage. I am also researching the Majors and McMillan families of Missouri. Thadious DeCalvin Majors was my great grandfather. He moved to California a few years after the death of his wife Jane Mariah McMillan in the early 1900's. They had four children: Esther, Charles, Thadious (Mike), and Earl. His second wife was Lena Johnson. I also am researching the Robert Pringle Hamman family of Pennsylvania. He was married to Matilda Curfman and they had four or five children. Their son Lloyd Hamman moved to California in the early 1900's and there married Esther Majors in 1915.
