My search starts with my Great Great GRANDFATHER William Ross who was born in Calais, Maine in 1843. My Grandfather moved to the Bangor, Maine area and married Naomi J. Mitchell . The Ross family home was on the Ross Road in Levant, Maine The Ross home is long gone but the foundation is there . William Ross and his wife Naomi are buried in the West, Levant cemetery on the Horseback road in Levant, maine across from the Church . I am trying to locate the birth place and burial place of William Ross's father John Ross and his wife Mary Simpson . I believe John & Mary lived in the Calais, Maine area when William was born . William's death certificate says his father was from England .
