This Ross Family Information begins with Sherman William Ross dating to the early 1800's. His son, Silas J. migrated from Fowler, St. Lawrence County, New York to Illinois as a young man in the early 1900's to open a mercantile store. Therefore, Sherman is believed to have been a New York citizen however, that information has not been able to be verified as yet.
