The Ross's of Fulton Co. Illinois (Lewistown in 1850) are my primary interest. I have been trying to trace Ossian Major Ross and his brothers (Joseph, Matthias, John) and sisters ( Jane, Sally, Eliza, Maria). Their father Joseph Ross was born Jan. 1759 in Dover, New York. Married Abigail Lee.
I cannot verify any ancestors after Joseph Ross and would like to see if anyone can shed some light on this line and a possible family link to Scotland.
