Ruth Helena Saufnauer from Chicago, IL

About Our Family Research

I started the genealogical research on my family in 1991.

My grandmother - Ruth Helena Innendorfer (Maiden Name: Saufnauer) was born in Chicago, IL and her family - originally from a province called Burgenland in Austria - moved back to Austria in 1920.

My grandma's sisters (Emilie and Anna)decided to go back in the U.S. in 1926 and 1928 and unfortunately we had never heard from them again.

During my first stay as an exchange student in the U.S. I started genealogical research on my family and I just recently found out that one of my grandma's sister (Anna, born in 1911 in Chicago) died in Chicago in April 1995.

So this encouraged me to go on with my genealogical research on the Saufnauer Family - at least of my grandma's sisters and their families.
