THE ONLY RUISSES AND THE FAMILY GOES ON
Ladies and gentlemen I have to say from my standpoint and POV
the family all began two generations ago when my Opa took Oma's hand in marriage and decided après the war and decreased to bring her (his newly wed) with him to Canada. They established here in the greater Toronto area and in the meantime created two spectacular human beings namely my father and my aunt, 2 children. The farm life became an immediate and lifelong focus for this family.
While all this is going down there's a second storm a brewing in the Breton and Robichaud households......in the upper northern Ontario regions.
boy oh boy when Maurice and Marie hook up the M's loves in the air and it was right until the end...
very special relationship no matter what the memories may tell otherwise. They marry and give birth to an only child, my mother.
While the daughter Stefanie had other plans in moving out west where she has remained for oodles of time...
When Mr. Ruiss's first son Herb took off up north to Sudbury to commence his studies at Laurentian little did he know that he would meet the love of his life in second year. A certain Miss Valerie Ruiss...... they courted, mated and the rest is history when they moved back down south into St. Catherines, Ontario. A very small home and humble beginnings led them to Brantford and a job in the insurance industry.
HOW HAVE THINGS CHANGED SINCE THEN??????
Well, this family of 6 NOW has blossomed.
Herb, the father and a great one at that currently holds down many jobs but his primary is at this point as a LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANT for an outstanding company in Toronto, Ontario and believe that is support on the family. This job came well deserved and I see this as the greatest move he has ever made in his career life, and respect him immensely for it.
While this is going on in the capital, his wife Valerie is responsible primarily for much of the teaching responsibilities at the ALL French school in Brantford, Ontario. She also holds down the fort while dad is in T.O. all days of the week.
This leaves the KIDS - my siblings and my lifelong blessings on a paved road to happiness.
Alisha, the eldest of four 21 WOW and in her adulthood now all over the world will be travelling to many areas of the globe very rapidly. With her striking vocals and unbelievably lucious long hair, she currently holds down a second year McGill Music Department Montreal position. This only happens to be the #1 elite vocal music program in Canada!
Her younger brother Matt, 19 is on a different path however to performance as well. He makes his voice heard regularly in the halls of Conestoga College in Kitchener, Ontario. This man has always been the over-explosive showman and it doesn't look like he's slowing down for awhile.
That leaves, or sets us up for the tops of the crew...
Justin 17, and Philip, 14 are by far the current status symbols of the Ruiss family and I talk about them all the time. While Philip has MANY aspirations in grade 9 his is fulfilling one of them by constantly stepping on the ice with other of Brantford's hockey greats, next Wayne Gretzky... Justin on the other hand in grade twelve and nearing the end of highschool has focusses in opposite directions with many career options in hand, the current one being with his *N Sync cover band, Infinity.
The parents are gifted, the children are talented and the family is a legend already before the name will be heard globally forever and you my FINE reader caught it first from the second child here on Genealogy!
