I am Mable Emily Rumburg-Meites. I am the last surviving child of Albert and Minnie Lucas Rumburg of Ellington, MO. I had eleven siblings: Belle, Edna, Clara, Oscar, Oliver, Clifford, Ruth, Timon, Willard and James. I have found some information about my father and mother's family and wish to find more but wish to submit the following to see if it can be included in the computerized information you keep:
Thomas Rumburg, b 1763, Rockingham, VA was my great, great grandfather; Phineas Rumburg, b. 1803, Virginia was my great grandfather; William Silas Rumburg, was my grandfather and his son, Albert Rumburg, b. 1889 was my father. The Rumburgs originally came from Germany. I wish to find which ones came to the USA first, the ships and some of the circumstances of their coming to the USA. Many of them were "homesteaders" and I wish to learn as much as possible about that period and how they managed to participate in the settling of the land.Thank you
