About Our Family Research
I have the passport of my great-grandfather, Johannes Pfeifer III who came from Fischbach bei Dahn, Germany to NY in the mid 1880's. I also have various military papers of his. I know that my maternal great grandparents, Adam Walther and Mary Wagner Walther came from Baden Baden to New York in the late 1800's and had a family of 13 children. My grandfather was Charles Walther, #9 out of 13. I know that my maternal great grandfather came to US from Cork, Ireland. His name was Daniel Lyons. My maternal great grandmother was an immigrant from Denmark who cam to the U.S. single but who had brothers here who sponsored her. The name Russak comes from my husband's grandfather who came to USA from what is now Belarussia in 1914. My husband, Mike's grandmother came from Poland in 1903. My husband's mother's family came from Conduci, Italy around 1900.
