John Russ (May, 1826) was born in Virginia. John and Caroline "Unknown" (January, 1835) of North Carolina lived in New Orleans, Louisiana. They had five children: Harriet Russ (February, 1864), John Russ (October, 1866), Robert Russ (March, 1872), Alexander Russ (February, 1875), and Henry Russ (May, 1880). John and Caroline Russ died and were buried in Louisiana.

The decendants of John and Caroline Russ are as follows:

Harriet Russ (February, 1864) was born in Louisiana. She and Alexander Anderson (January, 1862)of Louisiana had three children: Alexander Anderson (February, 1894), Herbert Anderson (March, 1897), and Julia Anderson (May, 1899).

John Russ (October, 1866) was born in Louisiana. He and Louisa "Unknown" (May, 1870) of Louisiana had three daughters, Julia Russ (November, 1896), Frances Russ (October, 1887), and Lottie Russ. John and Louisa Russ died and were buried in Louisiana.

Robert Russ (March, 1872) was born in Louisiana. He and Elizabeth Mitchell of Louisiana had eight children: August Russ (May, 1897), Peter Russ, Ella Russ, Josephine Russ (July, 1890), Robert Russ (December, 1893), Henry Russ (May, 1900), and Lucille Russ. Robert and Elizabeth Russ died and were buried in Louisiana.

Alexander Russ (February, 1875) was born in Louisiana. No background information is presently known for Alexander.

Henry Russ (May, 1880), was born in Louisiana. He and Mary Jane Washington had four children together: a set of twins, Henry John Russ and Philip Russ (August 7, 1903), Bertha Russ, and Beulah Russ (May, 1907). Mary Jane had a daughter, Mary Dash, prior to marrying Henry. Henry and Mary Jane Russ died and were buried in New Orleans, Louisiana.

There are Russ decendants known to be living in California, Detroit, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New York, Oklahoma, Washinhton, Texas, and Virginia. Please contact me if you think you have information that may help me in my ancestral search.
