Trying to find out about my brazilian family- aunts, uncles, grandparents etc.
My branch of the de Souza family lived in Petropolis. There were, I think, 5 sisters (including my mother) and 1 brother, born in the 1920's to 30's. Bernadette de S. b. 6/01/20, Dalila, Bili, Glorinha and brother Francisco (died about1972/3). Their mother (my grandmother) was Laura, my grandfather Zepherino Mario de Souza, and he worked in the museum at one time restoring fotos, and had a house in the museum grounds. My older sisters knew the Petropolis family well but have lost touch, their maiden names were Catherine Elizabeth Hide (Kitty) and Elizabeth Grace Hide (Betty). Some of the family lived in Niteroi.
I think Maria Tereza lived in the Avenida 7 de septiembre at one time. Any information about this family would be greatly welcome, or advice about how for example to obtain my mother's birth or marriage certificate from Petropolis.
