- The Ancestors of Louis Dautreuil (14 KB)
Born in New Orleans in 1791, Louis Dautreuil is of French Creole and 'Pest Ship German' ancestry. His ggrandfather fought with Bienville and was killed by Indians in battle. Louis himself is a War of 1812 veteran, and with his sister was part of the Creole migration to St Martinville, LA.
- The Descendants of Jean Baptiste Dautreuil (135 KB)
Born in New Orleans Louis and Irene Dautreuil left for St Martinville, LA where they married a brother and sister. Their descendants then married into the 'new' Acadian culture establishing there. This is the story of the Dautreuil and LeLeux families.
