My father was the late Joe Benson of Lee county, Texas. He married Mable Kellough and to them wer born twelve children. His father was Albert Benson born in May 1874. I never met my grandfather Albert nor his wife. In the 1900census he was married to Malindia and they had one daughter Hattie. I wrote to aunt Hattie for several years while she ws in a nursing home in San Angelo Texas and then the letters stopped. The 1920 census showed Albert wa married to Elizabeth in 1910. I do not know what happened to Malindia. the census also showed they had a nother daughter named Mattie, she lived in Tacoma Washington and that is all I know of her. I remember her coming to Texas when I was a young girl. Elbert was three years old in 1910 and I never met him. also listed one the census is a daughter named Nora who was 14 at the time. My guess is Nora was Elizabeth's daughter since she wasn't listed in the 1900 census. I know later my Monroe was born and then my Father Joe. My dad was born in Giddings Texas and never talked much about his mom and dad. He did tell stories of his sisters raising him. If you have any information on the Benson family i would greatly apprecaite it.
