The project is the inventory and linking of all people dead or living between the year 1270 and tomorrow who carry the name Ruijssenaars or one of its many spelling variantions. The assumption is that we all come from the same source ("Janne die men heet Rucenaere") who's first known registration was between 1270 and 1310 in Die Haghe near Breda, in the Southern Netherlands.
Together with an increasing number of "Ruizen" (members or associates of the Ruijssenaars-tribe) we now have over 2800 names and their linkages over 22 generations. The idea is to continue this search, to make the collection as complete and correct as possible, and to share it with whoever is interested.
All relevant correspondence and documentation could be sent to janr@antenna.nl
Though all is in Word files upo todate, we will gradually enter the information in Family Tree and communicate the information through Gedcom.
