I am just beginning the research of my family name on my dad's father's side. My father's mother was a Hagar and from Sweden, and the family history has been done on that side, but little is known about my dad's father's side of the family as he left them when my father was very little. My grandfather's name was Seymour Charles Nolan, though we believe he may have gone by Charles. I know that they were Irish descent, and that he passed away in 1948 or 1949, and is now buried in Busti, NY. My father also had two sisters, Helen and Eleanor. Dad and Helen have passed on, but Aunt Eleanor is alive and living in San Diego, CA. We have bits and pieces of information, including the fact that grandfather was located for a time in Florida, but we don't know where exactly that was. I now live in Florida myself, and there are Nolans in the same city. I often wonder if they are related. I would love to find out more about our little known side of the family. My sister and I are dad's only children and are interested in finding out about our heritage.
