My family originates from the Glasgow area,I was born in Bellshill, Lanarkshire on the 4th of June 1959.My mother was working in a chocolate factory in Glasgow at this time,and my father worked as a dairyman on a local farm.We left Glasgow during the summer of 1967 as my father had gained employment as a dairyman on a farm owned by Jimmy Stobo at Boag Farm,just outside of a village called Sandford,between Hamilton & Strathaven,Lanarkshire.We left here in 1968 as my father had a new job to start at a farm owned by James Mitchell,between Dunblane & Braco,Perthshire.Two years later in march of 1970 we moved to Orrock Farm,Burntisland,yet again as my father gained employment.1971 we moved into the town of Burntisland & stayed for six months in a 1 bedroom/living room chalet owned by my Granny & then a 1 bedroom flat in Harbour Place,(privately owned) with an outside toilet.Our first house proper was a three bedroomed,semi-detached owned by the then Burntisland Town Council.Since then, we have all stayed in Burntisland until our subsequent marriages,divorces etc.I have just started to compile my family tree,and am at present waiting on copies of Birth,Death and Marriage certificates from various churches & Registrar Offices.
