- A Concise Personal History of David William Saelzler -
I was the third child born to George Edward and Ruth Eleanor Saelzler in Toledo, Ohio, on November 23, 1945. My brother, Steven George, and sisters, Gayle Ann (Weyers)and Sandra Ruth (Emerson), and I grew up at 219 California Blvd. and attended Washington Township public schools in Toledo. After studying at the University of Toledo and the Universität Tübingen, in Tübingen, Germany, I married Judith Ann Cook while I was serving several years in the U.S. Army. We raised two kids, Tanja Lynn (Johnson) and Jason William, while living on the Monterey Peninsula in California. We are Christians and belong to a church family at the Mayflower Presbyterian Church in Pacific Grove. Our family has grown through marriage and new birth. Tanja married Darren Johnson, and they now have our only grandchild, Ethan David Johnson. Jason married Christina Marie Pitchford. They have our only granddog, Cali.
