I am researching the Ellis family of Samuel and Mary Ellis of New York. Their son Elonzo and his wife Phebe. Their son William Nelson Ellis and his wife Sarah Jane Means. Their son Hallie Dewitt Ellis and his second wife Anna Marie Momm. She came from Germany on a Cattle boat at the age of 16 or 17.
