About Our Family Research

Research on the SAGARRA family from Spain/Cuba, and the CHAMBERS and LYTTLE families from Ireland.

Magin SAGARRA married Maria BENAPRES in Sitges, Spain, in the late 17th century. Their great-grandson, Magin SAGARRA y Cuadras, eventually traveled to Cuba and married Isabel BLEZ y Mediaceja. Their son, Juan Bautista SAGARRA y Blez, was born in Santiago, Cuba, in the early 19th century, and had at least one son named Magin SAGARRA y Genoux. Magin married Dolores ESTEVA y Abad-Mestre, and their grandson, Magin SAGARRA y Salcedo, came to the United States, where he married Emily LABIAK.

Likewise, Henderson CHAMBERS, Sarah FREEBURN, Joseph LYTTLE and Elizabeth HOUSTON immigrated from Ireland to the United States in the late 19th century. Eventually, they all resided in Manchester, Connecticut. Henderson married Sarah, and had four children: Ann, Violet, Thomas and William; Joseph married Elizabeth, and had five children: Viola, Ethyle, Helen, Marjorie and Dorothy. William CHAMBERS married Viola LYTTLE.
