Taking a look back at the Sanchez Family of Los Angeles, Ca.
Growing up my father George William Sanchez Jr. has always told us story's about The family and how they owned cattle and land which came from Mexican land Grants, Rancho La Cienega O'Paseo De La Tijera, was past down to his Great Grandfather Tomas Avila Sanchez, which is now the Crenshaw Dist.
The Los Angeles of Tomas Avila Sanchez;
Tomas Sanchez, baptized as Jose Tomas Tadeo Sanchez, but known through the years as Tomas Avila Sanchez, was only 20 years old in 1846 when his grandfather, Vicente died. The death of his mother, Acension Avila, in 1847 left him spokesman for his brothers and sisters.

On 2-5-1867 Tomas married Maria Sepulveda (daughter of Fernando Sepulveda and Maria Josefa Dominguez
