Edith May Atkinson (daughter of Richard Atkinson and Catherine Steckley) was born 09 Mar 1884, and died 21 Oct 1974. She married Alexander Galbraith on 18 Dec 1937.

Edith was educated as a nurseat Chatauqua School of Nurshing New York in 1919. She graduated from Toronto Bible College in 1918 and from the "Nursing at Home" course in toronto. She worked as a deaconess in Toronto and helped her brother Levi minister to the Cree in Manitoba in the 1900's. she worked in a number of homes in Toronto as a nurse in Toronto for a number of years.
In Dec 1937 she married a retired photographer and widower of a lady she had cared for, Alex Galbraith. The wedding took place at her brother Levi's home in Stouffville. Alex died in 1950.
Edith moved back into the family farm with her two sisters. The three of them moved to Parkview Home and the she went of Markham Lodge a victim of Alzeimers disease. She died in 1974 in her 91st year the last surviving member of her brothers and sisters.
