I started with my mother side of the family (Ivan Kosolowsky). Ivan and Paraska arrived in Canada in 1912 with eigth children:Dora, Michael, Bessie, George, Peter, Dimytor, Katherine and William. Their daughter, Irene married and stayed in Ukraine.
This family arrived in Canada in 1912 aboard the S.S. Pallanza. They landed in Quebec City on June 2, 1912 8:00 p.m. From Quebec City they travelled on the Canadian Pacific Railway to Winnipeg, manitoba, and onward to Canora, Saskatchewan. Ivan was fifty-two and Paraska was fifty when they embarked on this journey.
My grandfather Wasyl Sasyniuk arrived in Canada in 1905. He married Victoria Kosmenko and they had six children. Alex Saseniuk was my father who married Mary Kosolowsky on October 2, 1937, in Sopoff, Saskatchewan. Their children were Jean, Vickie, Ernie, Gladys, Ronnie , Alvin, Gerry, Billy, Leona, Dianne, Michael and Karen.
