The Komisar brothers immigrated to the United States in the early 1900's from Slusk and/or Borbruisk, Minsk. Which is now located in Belurus. These little shetls were part of Russia. But there was one point in the early 1900's when Poland owned the area for almost a year.
Hersher Komisar was their father. Many have suggested his wife's name to Frada orBeatrice or Rachel, but it is still unclear. I think I do have the Yiddish name I have to look.
They worked at a flower mill outside the town they lived. These are the names of their son in order of birth.

There were two more brothers but I was told they died in Europe at a very young ages.
Isadore, Sam and Harry's dates are incomplete. If anyone could help me fill this in I'd appreciate it. I have found the cemetery stones of everyone in New Haven except Isadore & Nathan. If anyone know where they are buried that would be helpful.
Sam & Harry are buried in NY. Louis is buried in CA. =================================================================

Our first Family reunion will take place in New Haven, CT
In the past the Komisar brothers had a reunion each year at Fort Hale Park, New Haven, CT.
I would like to continue this tradition. I was think since people will be coming from out of state.
For our Welcome Home Party, I thought it would be nice to have a relaxed get together at Fort Hale. We could have a cook out. Spend time getting to know each other. People can spend time reminicing or getting to know each other.
The reunion would be Sunday at a large reception hall or restaurant.
I'd like to have a special presentation in honor of the brothers. Anyone interested in speaking about memories or a specific brother, please contact me. I'd like 8 people or more. One to represent each brother. My sister and I will be speaking about Rubin, our words will be a collection of all the people from our branch. Each family can choose how ever they would like to honor their descendent.
Please contact me: Iffersas7@aol.com
Any volunteers or helpful hints will be appreciated.
I look forward to hearing from everyone.
