Dennis was born in 1524 in England(Wessex?). His son, Morris Sexton was born in Limerick, Ireland in 1544 and married Christian Nagle. They had three sons. Their oldest, Edmond, had a son, Stephen. Stephen's son was James. His son was George. He immigrated to the New World(America)in the 1600's. His son was Charles. Charles' son was George and his son was Aaron. Aaron's son, William, was born in 1795 and married Clarissa Bacon. Their oldest, James Minor, married Philena Flint. Their son, William Minor, was born in 1843. He married Phebe Roach. William and Phebe's youngest son, York, is my great-grandfather.
NOTE: There were a lot of variations of Sexton. Just one example: in the 1800's, part of the family changed their name from Sexton to Saxton because of mailing mixups.
Saxtons/Sextons live in Georgia, Kenntucky, Tennessee, Alabama, South Carolina, California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Colorado, among others.
