* The Saxtons (formerly Sexton) of Colorado*

Updated September 6, 2000

Hi!! This is some information I have about our ancestors:
George Sexton-born abt. 1618 in England
died 1690 in Westfield, Mass.
married Katherine?
7 sons-our ancestor is George Jr.

George Jr.-born abt. 1656
died 1722
married Hannah Spencer
only son-Charles

Charles-the only thing we know is that he was born in Westfield, Mass. and his son was George

George-died on Long Island
married Hannah Stout
son-Aaron

Aaron-born abt. 1760
married Jane Jameson
died in 1827 in Ohio
son-William

William-born 1795
died 1865 in Wisconsin
married Clarissa Bacon
son-James Minor Sexton

James-son, William Maner, changed last name to Saxton

William's son, York Saxton, was my great grandfather. York, along with his many siblings, came West in a covered wagon. His brother settled in Idaho.

Please contact me if any of this applies to you as well!! I can give you much more information.

Saxon is an English name, but may have come from Germany. I am looking for anything that could give me more maiden names of women, trace our line back further and determine where our family originated.

Also, any info on the Isaac and Elizabeth Henry family, the Bosky family, the Jon George Petrie family(from Germany)or the Henry Brunz family(from Germany) would be GREAT!!!!!
